Hi all,
I am new to net-snmp. I have configured snmp to set and get all parameters. I was successful in getting and setting system objects. When I am trying to set IP address for an interface it says "this object is not writable. When I looked at the code, I could identify that the IP subtree is being registered as read-only. I have made it read/write and tried. I was able to set ipForwarding, but not others, like IP address. I could also understand that the parameters set are not getting reflected in the linux system. I am working on FC3.

Can anyone help me out? I could trace the code for setting IP address but when I traced it out it is not hitting at all. The code is present in ipaddress_linux.c and ipaddress_ioctl.c in agent/mibgroup/ip-mib/data_access directory.

TIA

-Bhaskar
