As part of tidying up the snmptrapd.conf documentation,
I was thinking about renaming the 'dontRetainLogs' directive
to bring it into line with the other similar trapd directives
(i.e. deprecating it in favour of 'doNotRetainLogs')

However, somewhat to my surprise, this directive appears to
have disappeared from the 5.3 source tree altogether.

In 5.2.x, it was implemented using a ds_boolean token in
'apps/notification_log.c'. With 5.3, this code file has
been moved under agent/mibgroup, and there's no sign of the
ds_boolean config or any 'don*tRetainLogs' processing at all.

Is this directive now redundant, or has it been dropped
accidentally, or what?

Dave
