In terms of functionality - yes. It is certainly possible to create entries that can be amended later. What's missing is the ease of doing this. Setting up an entry (in whatever table) via a config token is typically much simpler than via SET requests. (c.f. current use of 'createUser') b) Some mechanism for explicitly marking static config entries as "overidable" (and hence saved to the persistent config file - which would then take precedence over the static entry) But I don't think that this is something which should be put into the 5.6 line at this late stage.
