Hi, I'm a beginner in netsnmp, and working on table right now. I get hindered in tabel loading.
I have made a very simple table MIB file (see attachment). This MIB file has passed the compilation of unbrowse (http://www.unleashnetworks.com) so it is compliant with MIB standard in some way. I put the MIB file in /usr/share/snmp/mibs/ directory and add "mibs +MyTable-MIB" in /etc/snmp (as given by net-snmp-config --default-mibdirs, and --snmpconfpath), so it can be loaded when I restart snmpd. Unfortunately, no matter what I did, it doesn't response to "snmptranslate -IR -On MYTABLE-MIB" command, and doesn't show up in mbrowse. I have tried to put it in "~myhome/.snmp/mibs" and use "snmptranslate -m +MYTABLE-MIB -IR -On ...", they have no effect. I tried SYSLOG-MSG-MIB.my and SYSLOG-TC-MIB.my downloaded from web and they worked. So I strongly doubt it doesn't pass the compilation (sanity check) of agent, I am reading net-snmp source code right now, and could anybody shed a light on this? By the way, my project doesn't allow me to compile subagent into net-snmp.
