subagent giving error

Hi,

 

I am new to net-snmp, and I am getting the following error, when I run the subagent.

 

  1. I built the subagent using the net-snmp-config command
  2. I enabled the master agent to use agentx protocol for subagent communication
  3. Run the snmpd
  4. Then, when I ran the subagent binary, I get the following error:

“Error: Failed to connect to the agentx master agent: Unknown host (No such file or directory)”

 

I am running it on Red Hat Linux 9.0 distribution.

 

Your help in this regard is greatly appreciated.
