Remember, this is an open-source package, and we are all volunteers. The PERL
module came into existence because someone contributed it, and it is maintained
because some of the developers actually use it. So until someone needs to do
PHP, things are likely to remain as is.
At least "PHP scripting" is part of TODO since June 1998 :)
It's part of Dave's (long) list.
