I have a net-snmp agentx subagent I started developing for 5.1.0. I recently took it up again, and found it didn't work under 5.2. More testing shows it does work under 5.1.1 and 5.1.2; 5.2 is the first release that breaks it. snmpwalking OIDs that use the scalar helper work. snmpwalking OIDs that use the iterate helper cause the agent to return a genError after a few seconds, and then even the scalar OIDs that were working no longer work (ie. as though communications with the subagent were broken.) Note that the subagent process continues to run. I don't see anything in the release notes to explain this.
This is an agentx subagent under a homebrew Linux using the iterate and scalar helpers under net-snmp 5.2. Could someone tell me what to do to get it working?
