Hi:
I am using net-snmp 5.2.1. I have implementedd
sub-agent talking to snmpd daemon (master agent) via
agentX protocol. I have my own MIB module, a table
with several columns. My sub-agent is gathering data
from another application.
Some of the columns (data items I) takes some time to
get. If I do snmpwalk (for example column 5), without
setting timeout, then the time out occurs as expected.
Then if I immediately issue the snmpwalk command for
the same column, I still got no data, which is fine I
think. But if I issue another snmpwalk command for a
different column (column 6), then the data
returned for some of the rows become junk (i.e.,
unexpected). If I "snmpget" that row, then the data is
fine (no junk).

I do notice that the junk data that I got for column 5
happens to be the data corresponding to column 5!
I am not sure it is a bug in my sub-agent or something
else...

Any ideas/thoughts?
Thanks
Steve
