That file is only used by the SNMP *agent* ("snmpd"). It is not relevant to the trap receiver ("snmptrapd"). > nor did we pass the -x option to snmptrapd. But if it can't connect (because you haven't enable the master agent to listen for AgentX connections), then snmptrapd will fail silently.
