Is it possible to amend the design of the MIB to use smaller tables?
Perhaps AUGMENTing a base table with type-specific information
(as was done with the hrDeviceTable)
500 columns is a *lot*!

What style of coding are you using to implement this MIB?
How are you registering the table?
