You need to install the MIB files on the client system (i.e. the system where you are issuing the "snmpwalk" command) You wouldn't normally bother with the client commands on the board itself, so the simplest approach is to install the normal vendor-supplied version of the tools (which would typically come with the MIB files automatically).
