Are you using the same rpm as the last time you were running redhat 5.2?
For the longest time, it was 2.1.3-6, but I have seen people mention
2.1.3-7 now.  I never had trouble with the -6 rpm, so I wonder if -7 is
specific to redhat 6.x?
