Yup. I guess this is just an odd transient corner case. This is just a hobby machine so not a huge deal and actually I'd be fine with staying with booting via GRUB knetbsd if there was another way to do userconf stuff like disabling the i915krmkms* module, something I was hoping would make X11 more stable. -B
