Hi

You might be better able to see what goes wrong on the command line:

netdisco-do -D -d <device-ip> discover

Should give some additional output and maybe hints, e.g. that Netdisco can't find credentials for this device or similar.

Cheers
Christian

Due to upgrade and future patching dependencies,

we have a brand new netdisco server setup on Centos 8 with the following setup:

App::Netdisco 2.60.10

SNMP::Info 3.92

DB Schema 78

PostgreSQL 15.00.2

Perl 5.26.3

I’m running into the issue where trying to discover a network device via WebUI is failing.

Job queue shows discovery task completed within 1 min (?) and subsequent arpwalk & macwalk run and complete.. however Inventory is empty,

and trying to click on the device IP results in “Sorry, no such device is known”

I can confirm snmpwalk is successful for the device.

Are there any known issues that I should be looking into?

In the meantime, my older Netdisco 2.52.10 environment

(older host OS, unable to upgrade PostgreSQL, which is a dependency of 2.60.10)

is working fine and updating it’s data on expected basis…

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

regards

Christian
