Hello.
Since there's again a discussion about H.323 I wanted to release a question.
About 2 weeks ago I was able to apply the necessary patches (newnat 7,
h.323-conntrack) via cvs/patch-o-matic on a Kernel 2.4.17 and it worked
like a charm.
But then I accidently messed up my system (yeah, I'm not too experienced)
and had to step back on my backup-configuration on a 2.4.10-Kernel since a
recompilation of the kernel was not possible without severe errors.
Afterwards I wanted to recompile a new 2.4.17 Kernel, but i couldn't apply
the necessary patches via patch-o-matic.
Since both necessary patches (newnat 7 & h.323-conntrack) refused to apply
I got my system back up and running with 2.4.17 and iptables with shorewall
firewall script (www.shorewall.net).
Then I tried to step to Kernel 2.4.18 and no luck with patch-appliance, either.
Used system is a RedHat 7.1 with several updates, currently running 2.4.18.
I tried to use iptables 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 trees from www.netfilter.org as
well as the cvs-tree.
Any recommendations about resolution highly appreciated.
If someone considers this to be a bug somewhere feel free to contact me
