**************Cannot receive audio/video through our DSL/Router/Gateway service**************** I just installed a DSL in our office and Netmeeting 3.0 will transmit and recieve text but will only transmit audio and video and will not recieve audio and video. The DSL comes into our office through a gateway and a router and then connects to a hub that connects with our test system. NM3 will work fine if we connect to our ISP through a dial up modem, it only exhibits this probelm when we connect through the DSL. I suspect that the recieving end can't find our computers IP address through the router (or through the gateway) Although I don't understand why the text can make it through but the audio/video can't. We assign/reate our own IP addresses for each machine behind our router and I suspect this is the problem. We are not going through a firewall or proxy that I know of. ******************************Connecting to the test system:********************************** I am sure this problem is related to the above problem, but we can only dial out from our test system and no one can dial us. We have tried different combinations of logging onto a server (ils.kencomp.net because it is lightly loaded) and trying to connect by choosing our directory listing for our test system. Once selected the test system never gets a "ring". If we enter the IP address we also don't get a ring at our test system. If you are familiar with this problem and/or know how to get around this prolem or know anyone that might I would apprecieate it. (P.S. A similar problem exists for Media Ring Internet Phone, it sends voice but can't receive) Thanks, John ----------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.meetingbywire.com/Mailinglist.htm for unsubscribe information -----------------------------------------------------------------------
