Hello,
I just joined this list because I need help with Netmeeting
3.01 I have been trying to set NetMeeting up to work on my LAN ( 2 PC's client
is win95 and the server is win98 ) But I can't seem to make a connection
because it says I'm calling my own computer.
How are
you trying to initiate the call (ILS, direct to IP, ICQ, MSN Messenger?)
My guess is that if this does work it can only work from inside to out
or inside to inside.
My LAN use's Internet Landbridge Bridging software to share
1 internet connection between both PC's and thus both PC's share the same
IP.
My question is it possible to use Netmeeting like I want to
do and if so can anyone give me some pointers on what I'm doing wrong?
What is
the the LAN Bridge product -- a NAT, a proxy? Do you have a URL?
It is
generally possible to do what you want but only if the product you use has
special support for H.323 ( the audio/video protocol that NM uses). I use
Sygate (a NAT product) in the way you describe
Thanks
