Hello,
You and many others are experiencing that problem. I previously
posted with some advice to make it easier to use busy ils servers
during periods of heavy traffic. So, I repeat. In some instances
there is just nothing you can do. But, try the following. Above all,
be patient and be persistent.
1. Get the best connection speed possible before starting N/M.
2. Allow all current operations to complete before changing to
another.
3. If you cannot connect then connect to a different server and
return and try again.
4. Try at least 3 or 4 times.
5. The same advice for "Find Someone".
6. If someone calls you but you are not able to receive any chat,
audio or video or many all three, then hang up and check the history
list. If the sender failed to include address information it could
have contributed to the connection problems. Also, if the address
is not a complete address this could cause a problem for the server
to "find" the other party.
6B. Often the ils will return an eroneous report about the other
party. Ignore it and try again. Continue trying to get the call
through at least 3 times.
7. Ils servers are designed differently by software engineers, even
from the same building tools. So, try them all and find out how they
perform under good and under bad traffic conditions. Observe and
keep notes about what is going on and what the conditions are at
the time.
8. Ils designers and operators will continually make changes to
deal with ever increasing loading oin their systems. So, be prepared
for improvements and for new problems.
9. Look for more advice and help here as I do.
Good luck.
Frank
