Might the following apply to you?
Live video window is blue
If you use an external video source (such as a camcorder or VCR) to record
video clips and exit the Record Video application, leaving the software
configured for the external source, the next time you open any live view
application, it expects to use that external video source. If you've
unplugged/disconnected the camcorder or VCR since you last used it, the live
video window will be solid blue.
