It is possible depending on what "breakup" means that the mic gain setting
is too high ( or the input sound levels are higher than need be) or there is
an impendence mismatch between your mic and sound card -- you should be able
the see the digital vu meter in NetMeeting often into the red if this is the
case. It is also possible that the output volume setting at the receiving
end is too high -- again the digital sound meters would show this at the
receiving end.
Likely it is a bandwidth issue (not connection speed - end to end
bandwidth). If bandwidth is the problem lower bandwidth settings, smaller
video, pausing video can help.
