I am trying hard to get my Philips Vestra Pro PCVC680K to cooperativly work
with my Pentium II 200 MHz, 64MB on the USB port, but the screen always
freezes 30-60 seconds after I start Netmeeting. I can see that the processor
works with 25% until the screen freezes and by then the processor seems to
drop the process and slows down to approx. 5%.
Have you ever encountered this, or is there something wrong with my camera?
It acts the same way when I connect it to another PC�s USB port.
I have tried NM 2.11, 3.0, 3.01 both english and swedish versions.

I am using a Philips USB camera which is very good...... simple to set up,
although you must now go to the Philips website to download the new driver
setup programme
I can use it with Netmeeting, and other programmes webcam32 etc.
I also have another USB camera (Omnivision) on a different machine, which
is less cooperative although I believe I have narrowed the problem down to
an (apparently) known issue between WDM and VFM drivers, if one gets called
first the machine falls over/or camera freezes, although I have yet to test
setups scientifically and log results to state which driver and under which
conditions the problems occur.................
