I don't know where you guys get this. You can use threads with NM
2.1 or 3.0 as long as you do not pass raw interface pointers between
the threads. You must marshal and unmarshal them instead. I have
been using threads with my NM app. for quite some time (both
NM 2.1 and 3.0).
