In case someone else ever runs into the Remote Sharing - invalid
certificate problem, he was my solution. The Microsoft support page
referred to below did not work but it gave me a hint and with further
investigation of how certificates were stored, I was led to reload my
Internet Explorer program. That finally fixed the problem.
