A prototype is available for the current state-of-the-art of Netsukuku.
A deploy using this prototype is a bit described at
http://pyntk.blogspot.com and there you can find hints at how to
obtain and use it.

The prototype can run only in "decent" hardware PCs, not in small routers.
This is why I am currently working on a port of the software to a more
portable language.
The new implementation will be able hopefully to run on small routers,
and this is a very needed capability.
BTW, the new repository is at https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/netsukuku/

I am keeping on working on this project, instead of learning to use to
BATMAN or OLSR, because those projects don't have the aim to enable
the formation of networks that could scale well up to millions of
nodes.
I hope that netsukuku will prove to be able to scale well to that
order of magnitude because my aim, in the end, is the feasibility of a
world-scale user-owned network, as in "no ISP".
