Thanks for the suggestions (: snoop will certainly get me my answers but I would have to manually trigger snoop by hand and terminate it manually as well in order to get that reserved address. i'm looking more towards an automated method since I'm trying to get that information from within a java app.
what I used to do is to configure DHCP server to have no free addresses, monitor /var/adm/messages, then add static addresses whenever a JumpStart DHCP request comes in. unfortunately that reserved IP doesn't appear in the log :( This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
