Yes, that's exactly what I'm also saying.  I guess we might be
violently agreeing on that point.

However, it is in fact a special problem for SCTP.  For all of the
previous protocols, you could just do SO_TYPE and you'd know the right
answer, because there was only one SOCK_STREAM or SOCK_DGRAM transport
protocol.  Now there isn't.
