If the card does have a Realtek 8139 chip on it, then all you need to do to get
it working under Solaris 10 is to add the appropriate line in
/etc/driver_aliases . For example, my DLink DFE-528TX needs this line:

rtls "pci1186,1300"

You get the PCI ID by running prtconf -v and finding your network card in the
output.

Once you get it working, feel free to file a bug to have the driver alias
included in Solaris. ;-) (Mine is 6484730).

As far as driver update disks go, you will get the driver update option as a
menu option when you boot from the install CD. Simply boot from the default
entry, then once Solaris boots you will get another menu with 6 options. The
driver update option is number 5.

Cheers

Andrew.
