I realize that this topic comes up time and time again but I've run out of
ideas to try after a frustrating evening yesterday, so I seek help! (PS I work
for Sun...)

Media: OpenSolaris 2008.05

I've booted the LiveCD on my AMD Dual Core Desktop Box and nwam is able to
connect flawlessly to my WPA-PSK router, without any trouble whatsoever -
including dhcp via a wireless pci card ( i forget which ) that uses ath0

I try the same on my (older, experimental) Intel centrino laptop, both in live
CD and a clean new install, and it just refuses to play. The Intel 2200 / iwi0
drops in and out like crazy in the dmesg output. nwam refuses to play entirely,
timing out. Going manual, with dladm and secobj's, gives the impression of
being connected, but the router logs don't seem to see anything, and the speed
column in the dladm output is suspiciously missing.

Can anyone confirm iwi0 + WPA-PSK out in the wild, either manually or via nwam,
and what the general approach is if anything special? There seem to be a few
threads which imply this is possible, so maybe it is my hardware.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire 1680 which works fine with wired solaris normally;
wireless has also worked fine with ubuntu and windows in the past as well.
Per advice in a previous thread I setup nwamd to debug and have attached the
output file.

Cheers, Howard
