I completely agree. The syntax was valid, it just did not accomplish quite
what I was expecting :)

I was a little surprised it required an unplumb to clear the POINTOPOINT
flag.

That said, should it be considered valid to set up a pointopoint through
ifconfig? I believe Erik Nordmark suggested removing the functionality
altogether, which should not be terribly difficult.

Thoughts?
