Hello List, this is my first post in this list. I'm new to Solaris/Opensolaris but relativly long with Linux.
I have installed Opensolaris 2008/06 and want to test Virtualbox with its guest "m0n0wall". I have a VLAN-Network setup at home with a couple of Linksys Switches. Vlan id 2: LAN (pvid) Vlan id 5: WAN In my Opensolaris box i have a couple of NIC installed, 1x INTEL/Pro 1000 (e1000g) 1x SIS900 (sfe) 1x 3Com (elxl) 1x Realtek (rtls) I got Vlan working, set an ip... All ok. ifconfig sfe/e1000g/... plumb ifconfig -a shows me: e1000g0 e1000g5000 sfe0 sfe5000 elxl0 elxl5000 rtls0 rtls5000 When i start Virtualbox and select Host Networking, all created interfaces show up. If i select sfe0, elxl0, rtls0 and boot the guest os, it starts correctly. But if i select any VLAN Interface (e1000g5000, elxl5000, rtsl5000 except sfe5000), the HOST Os panics and restarts. But with the sfe driver, the Guest OS starts correctly and the nics are working. I also have testet it with the nic drivers of "http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/"; there is the same result. Also i have installed Solris 10, there is exact the same problem. The Solaris kernel panics and after a few seconds it reboots. Does anybody know a solution for my problem? Sorry for my bad english...
