To me, the reasons for choosing Sun Trunking over built-in dladm aggregations are less than obvious. Sun Trunking only works with a couple of drivers (Cassini, GEM, and qfe, all of which are relatively old), whereas the built-in dladm link aggregation works with all GLDv3 drivers in Solaris 10, and _all_ drivers in OpenSolaris. The dladm-based link aggregation is also simple to deploy (doesn't require additional software, and allows for any combination of different kinds of NICs using different GLDv3 drivers in a single aggregation). -Seb _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
