Understood. So dladm based link aggregation is preferred option here
that brings the previously mentioned benefit over IPMP.

To me, the reasons for choosing Sun Trunking over built-in dladm
aggregations are less than obvious. Sun Trunking only works with a
couple of drivers (Cassini, GEM, and qfe, all of which are relatively
old), whereas the built-in dladm link aggregation works with all GLDv3
drivers in Solaris 10, and _all_ drivers in OpenSolaris. The
dladm-based link aggregation is also simple to deploy (doesn't require
additional software, and allows for any combination of different kinds
of NICs using different GLDv3 drivers in a single aggregation).
