Hello, I have a gigabit Intel 82573 that came with my X7DCA-3 motherboard http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon1333/5100/X7DCA-3.cfm
When I do dladm show-ether I recieve the following: h...@data:~/Desktop# dladm show-ether LINK PTYPE STATE AUTO SPEED-DUPLEX PAUSE e1000g0 current down yes 0M-h bi e1000g1 current up yes 100M-f bi And dladm show-linkprop h...@data:~/Desktop# dladm show-linkprop e1000g1 LINK PROPERTY PERM VALUE DEFAULT POSSIBLE e1000g1 speed r- 100 100 -- e1000g1 autopush -- -- -- -- e1000g1 zone rw -- -- -- e1000g1 duplex r- full full half,full e1000g1 state r- up up up,down e1000g1 adv_autoneg_cap rw 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 mtu rw 1500 1500 1500-9216 e1000g1 flowctrl rw bi bi no,tx,rx,bi e1000g1 adv_1000fdx_cap r- 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_1000fdx_cap rw 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 adv_1000hdx_cap r- 0 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_1000hdx_cap r- 0 1 1,0 e1000g1 adv_100fdx_cap r- 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_100fdx_cap rw 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 adv_100hdx_cap r- 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_100hdx_cap rw 0 1 1,0 e1000g1 adv_10fdx_cap r- 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_10fdx_cap rw 0 1 1,0 e1000g1 adv_10hdx_cap r- 1 1 1,0 e1000g1 en_10hdx_cap rw 0 1 1,0 e1000g1 maxbw rw 1000 -- -- e1000g1 cpus rw -- -- -- e1000g1 priority rw high high low,medium,high LINK PROPERTY PERM VALUE DEFAULT POSSIBLE e1000g1 tagmode rw vlanonly vlanonly normal,vlanonly Now I know that my ethernet controller is capable of gigabit speeds. The fact that it is currently set to 100Mb I believe is the reason why my network is going slow. When its wired up I get speeds of a bit less than 100/12 MB/sec. Unfortunately I can't seem to set this to be at full 1000Mb/sec. Im not sure this driver is even capable of it, so does anyone have any fixes to this problem?
