Thanks, I thought that I had replied to this but looks like i didnt.
running pfexec dumpadm shows that the savecore directory is in /var/crash/NAS
but that its not enabled
Dump content: kernel pages
Dump device: /dev/zvol/dsk/rpool/dump (dedicated)
Savecore directory: /var/crash/NAS
Savecore enabled: no
So I have updated the /etc/dumpadm.conf to enable it, and ran
pfexec dumpadm -u
to update the configuration instead of rebooting.
Is there anything else I need to do, or am I ready now for getting the core
dump the next time I have a crash?
