I've been testing a wimax 8 megabit connection. Against a Linux server I get essentially full throughput of a megabyte/sec on bulk transfers. Against a Solaris 10 sparc I get about a quarter of that.
Ping shows about 100ms of latency against both servers (they are both on the same Lan). I've tried some tuning on sparc increasing tcp_cwnd_max, tcp_xmit_hiwat, and tcp_recv_hiwat, but I don't see any real effect. Is there something else to tune? This was on Sol 10 U3.
