Is your Win98 partition mounted in Linux?  If it's a FAT16 drive then you'll need to mount is as   'mount -t msdos /dev/hdxx  (fill in 'xx' with your Win partition) /win98'
 
If it's FAT32, make sure you have VFAT support compiled into your kernel, instead of 'msdos,' plug in 'vfat'  -- this is what I did.
 
All you need to do now is make a /win98 directory for your mount point.  Should be all set.
