I am very new to Linux (less that one week). I just made a boot disk from
the image included on the CD and installe it that way. The system I
installed it on is rather old and doesn't have the capabilities to boot from
the CD. If you are installing it onto a clean system (one that doesn't have
anything else on it) you should have no trouble at all. Just basically
follow the prompts and answer the questions to the best of your abilities.
The biggest problem I had was getting my system to boot from the hard drive.
(I had forgotten to make my boot partition active).
