[newbie] Setting Up KDE:

Hi All:
I'm trying to set up KDE on my system.  When I run startx KDE starts ok but
when it comes up the fonts are too large -- everything is too large.  I'm
using a Diamond Multimedia Systems Video card. It is  a Viper V330 Turbo,
the controller is nVidia Riva 128 DAC:  230mnz with 4mb of ram.  During the
set up it identified the Riva 128 but could not find the clock chip setting.

What can I do to correct this?
