To disable NUMlock edit the : /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit file.
Find the section with:
for tty in /dev/tty[1-9]*; do
setleds -D +num < $tty
done
Edit the second line eith the right stuff ( -num).
THis will do the job

i installed mandrake on my IBM 760E and when it boots the numlock is on and
i can not toggle the numlock does anyone know how to toggle numlock
also the 760E will not see a keyboard on the keyboard port
