Sometimes Partition Magic can delete the partitions, but then sometimes
Partition Magic will totally mess up the Partition Table, then the hard
drive won't even format or fdisk or anything, (I have been there). I used
Partition Magic 4.0 to try and delete some ext2 partitions and it deleted
them, but when I tried to rerun Disk Druid or DOS's fdisk or Linux's fdisk,
all I got was a message about an invalid partition table. So, I had to
start totally over. I downloaded a program called pdisk, I think it's
called, at work and took it home. I had to manually edit the partition
table to get everything back so I could then re-fdisk the hard drive and
format. That was a job. Anyway, if you run into the invalid partition
table problem, download the program pdisk, from hotfiles.com, it helped me.

Otherwise, Partition Magic is the easiest way to modify your partition
table, nondestructively.

Linux FDISK is the only way, AFAIK. Although, Partition
Magic might be able to take care of it for you (something
like $60 retail.)
