My AWE64 card was not identified properly either. I ran a report from my
Win98 side on all my devices, set it to the Win98 identified DMA channels
and it worked. To get a report (I am assuming you are dual boot and could be
wrong) right click 'My Computer', select 'Properties', select the 'Device
Manager' tab and then the 'Print' button on the bottom right. Select the
'All devices and system summary' radio button and 'OK'. This resolved an
issue with both my PnP network card and my AWE64 card.

I hope this helps,
Wayne
