Your machine cant execute /sbin/mingetty, that program creates the
consoles, either you have not installed the program or you have
forgotten to install some libaray which is needed,
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40019000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

This may be possible,however I also did a simple install as opposed to a custom
install to prevent from omitting required libs and got the same results.

Or your system is not running ldconfig at startup, so what happens in
that situatie is that just asbou all progrsmd will fail.

/sbin/mgetty is executed from out /etc/inittab th first file linux
reads in its startup proceedure.

I would try and use my boot disk tio get into the drive,
mount root=/dev/hda1 ro where hda1 is the partition where the root
ile system is located.

Or with lilo installed type linux 1 iwhere linux is the name of your
image.
