I did say no. I had already run Norton's Scandisk and Disk Doctor earlier. Disk Doctor gave me the message you are referring to almost immediately. I cancelled out. Later, I tried to boot Mandrake 8.2. and I got the error message I posted earlier so I came here to ask for advice. I also tried Mandrake's Repair option and it said it couldn't fix my partion table problem. I tried to reinstall and I got to this screen: Choose the petitions you want to format hda 1{C:} (15MB, /mnt/win_Dos Fat16 hda 2 {D} (12 GB, /mnt/Win-2, Win98, Fat32, LBA-mapped The options below are preselected (400MB, /Journalised FS: Ext 3) (50MB, Swap Linux Swap) Could hda have been my bootloader? I only had 1 drive before I installed Linux. Any help you can give to staighten out this mess will be appreciated.
