Just trying to learn (or confirm) something here: * isn't there a mechanism that can report back to the sender whether you've read an email or not? (or was that something that only worked on some proprietary systems that I've used?) * if that mechanism does exist, IIUC, it sends back the "read" notification as soon as you've opened it whether you've read it or not * are you concerned about that -- AFAIK, there is not much that you (or the developers) can do about that, unless perhaps there is change to the email infrastructure.
