probably a bad download, or a bad CD burn.
try downloading and burning your CD again.
those 'failed' packages are sign of big trouble. it
shouldn't happen.
(oh BTW during the installation, make sure you
tell the installer to start X when you reboot )

Hey, what do u mean by telling the installer to startx when i reboot... I didnt see that option. I used advanced setup tooo... Also do you know good download mirror where i could download CD-1, and CD-2 (os, and extras cd) for linux mandrake. I went to: www.linuxiso.org and i downloaded from there, but it seems to be a bad download. Mandrakes site only give 1 file... i dont see all 3.
