I'm having problems with my mandrake 9.0 rc 1 install.
I downloaded the ISO image (and the md5sum is correct)
and burnt 3 CD-R, but I'm not able to get past the 2nd
progress bar.
Alt-F3 is stuck on
/tmp/image/Mandrake/base/mdkinst_stage2.bz2 as a
ramdisk
Alt-F4 showed repeated messages
cdrom decode status: status=0x51 {DriveReady
SeekComplete Error}
cdrom decode status: error=0x30
My machine is a Dell Dimension 4500 with a 2 GHz
Pentium IV, 1 GB RAM, 1 DVD-ROM drive (which I
attempted to from), 1 CD-RW drive, nVidia GeForce chip
set, Sound Blaster.
Any help would be much appreciated!
