Solved now - it was specific to my desktop, and I had renamed the installation desktop, copied the whole one from my old installation, then deleted the files/folders that I thought should not be there. I resolved the problem by a bit more re-naming, and just copying accross the links that I really wanted. Thanks anyway Anne
