I've had this happen twice, for 2 very different reasons - and I don't know if either of them are your problem (and I've never tried inserting media to see if it helped, so YMMV). Anyways, once I had a hostname conflict, and I couldn't open any folder without a long delay. Resolving the hostname conflict solved this. The other time had to do with my supermount problems. I disabled supermount, redid all my icons, and all was well. Hope this gives you some idea as to where to start. -- /\ Dark< >Lord \/
