Its been a long time since I handled any linux system but I think the
variable can be configured in one of the security screens in the
mandrake control center.

Or it may not be working perfectly in your case. I have some
installations that it does not work and in some cases in did. I never
did claim any expertise on the subject but I think leaving a launched
application at work counts as a valid activity in your user's part.

Is this set as part of a security level?  I ask because I leave my
