What I would like to know is what the duplication of types is about? Why are there two?
Some program created the x-midimime type.
Do I have to edit both?
I would.
Is the "x" for X-windows?
No. There are standard mime types registered with IANA of which midi is one. Additionaly, anyone may create more mime types for their own use but they must begin with "x-".
